So NOW you are Johnny on The Spot!
I feel better about being tied for 1st this year then the other 18 times we finished tied for first

Shocking. The defense played out of their minds tonight and the offense made enough plays to win it. I'm liking that we're finally seeing much more discipline from our guys and the staff is really trying to use our strengths more than trying to trick people.

i know it's been discussed on here before but i can't find it.
can someone tell me exactly what the 3 way tiebreaker is? i remember it was kind of random, and coastal would be on top if ended in 3 way tie.
thanks

I honestly thought we had no chance in this game. I am Soooo glad I hung in there after the first SB drive. The defense played out of their collective mind tonight. It's a great day to be a Liberty fan!

This.
Two words -- Nick Sigmon. Dude was a total beast tonight, and I think he helped fire the defense up as much as anything else.

Basically, we must win, and Coastal must lose next week.

The tiebreaker is conference road wins. Currently Coastal is 3 and 0 while LU and SB are 2 and 1.

Head to head then road wins in conference then home wins in conference then its totally convoluted after that

You know, as a non sequetor, I heard a lot of talk from the announcers, who we should poach, about the SB RB getting serious NFL looks. But, without their names on the jersey, how can the scouts know who is who?

They probably sent the relevant info and highlight film with him spot shadowed so they know who to look for

Stony Brook's regular season is over. They have locked at least a share of the Big South title. In a 3-way tie, Coastal gets the auto bid and the Seawolves would have to hope the selection committee brings them in as an at-large.
Coastal needs to next week and hope we win as well. If they win and we lose, they would be in 2-way tie with the head-to-head going to Stony Brook and they'd be left in the cold. If they lose to Chuck South, they are out under any circumstances.
We have to win at VMI and hope that Coastal loses to Chuck South. That would result in a 2-way tie with SBU and we would take the auto bid on head-to-head.

Defense was incredible- Sigmon, Vinson could make some highlight reels. Offense did well, and I liked the way we played, save for a few miscues.

Only one word describes the performance of the team today…Outstanding!!
Defense – played up to their potential, and beyond. Key players – Sigmon, Vinson (aka the Terminator), Hagen, the defensive squad as a whole and the play calling of Robert Wimberly was impressive.
The run game, and the two TDs by Hudson kept us relevant, but the defense earned the team an unexpected win. Whether or not we make it to the playoffs the team is setting the tone / intensity / an expected performance for next season.

great performance by the defense and coach wimberly. nick was outstanding! congrats sigmo!
heard they were alot of recruits at this game as well!
as for Stony Brook, no doubt they get an at large. a Win against Patriot League champ (Colgate), FBS (Army), and Coastal (if they win).

I thought we had absolutely no chance in this game. I love when I am wrong in circumstances like this. We really played our best all around game in my opinion and I think Stony Brook was a bit off of theirs. A perfect combination.
Now lets hope Coastal chokes

ballah09 - Lehigh may have the edge on SBU for an at-large because for better or worse their loss today might be considered a better loss than the Seawolves. Perhaps both get at-larges in this expanded field. Who knows?
LU FFG - There is a historical precedent for Chuck South ruining Coastal's playoff hopes in their season finale. Remember super safety back in '07?
