Last Saturdays game saw what I think is the best football prank ever.
A student got into the FOC where he changed into a football uniform.
Replica helment and jersey but wrong color pants (white).
He managed to blend in and ran out on the field with the team.
He was on the sideline before confronted by a female support staff member (a criminal justice major) and turned over to security.
He was actually questioned by several players etc - hey man are you supposed to be here? - but got by.
I actually saw him inside the FOC. He came out of the unisex bathroom and was stretching and meditating by the cubbies. I thought it was a little strange (didn't know the pants were wrong) but thought he just needed some extra space away from the locker room.
This is so funny. An innovative prank that took a lot of moxie to pull off.

At a school in Morgantown a certain member of a certain graduate degree program ran streaking from one end of the stadium to the other, into the FOC out the door and into an RV. But I like this one better!

Ahh yes...Kelsey Goss...definitely the best prank ever. Any prank where security ends up involved (unless they are in on it) is not one Id put on the all time list

Did the entire stadium notice it?

If not, we still hold the record for biggest prank.
Id be hard pressed to find someone other than #10 who did notice it on Saturday

SJs was definitely a top 2. It was funny and took time to accomplish but I always thought it was a little mean spirited..
Yes only a handful of us knew about this and that's part of what makes it special.
The big time posters didn't have a clue.

Back when SJ, JDUB, BrysOn_G and a couple others were part of the leadership of the LUnatics, they came up with a prank for one of the top guys on their team at the time. They made up a facebook profile for someone named "Kelsey Goss" and friended the player (his name escapes me...SJ can fill that in). They kept this up the whole week of the game and even had this guy leave a ticket for "Kelsey" at the game. When he came out for warmups, they had a giant picture and introduced themselves as "Kelsey Goss". He got a big kick out of it and I think even signed something after the game. Sadly the guy died in a car accident not long after I think.

SJ can fill in the gaps in my story on this one

Close, Beej, but not quite.

We made the account in May of 2007 as a rising freshman about to go to Presby. She made friends with multiple players, talking to many regularly, but became closer to a guy named Larry Thomas. Things fell through and Kelsey had to stay home from college for a semester but luckily she only lived an hour away from Liberty and had a cousin who went there so she could go to the game when Liberty played Presby.

Her name was put on the pass list and everything was good to go. During warm-ups, things looked normal. No one had a clue anything extra was going on. Once PC went back into the locker room, we started putting out signs. We had one sign that hung on the railing that said, "We are Kelsey Goss." One had the guy's phone number with "Larry's Love Line" above it (bonus points because the o in love was a heart). Then, as Presby came running on the field, we had a sign that said "Larry Thomas Got Punk'd" stretching across about 15 people and we were all chanting "Kel-sey! Kel-sey!"

To make things better, we had a professor on the field filming the players' and coach's reactions while we were filming in the stands. We put together videos for the entire thing (one of us buying all the materials, one of us making everything, and one of the actual prank). Unfortunately, Larry Thomas was killed in a car wreck less than six months later. His teammates asked me to take the video down and we did. I ended up losing all of the footage a few years back so I don't have it anymore.

Larry was great about it. He texted us back after the game and told us he had a good laugh at it.

That had to be Fumble (aka, Jeff Taylor), right?

I remove this post from best ever nomination. A prank in which someone gets fired or is arrogant
doesn't qualify.
Are we back?

Nice! Here is to hoping we can live bot free.
