talked to my son at Noon and he said it was really pouring and windy. Looking to get really muddy and saoked today. Perfect football weather to play in. They were switching over to detachable cleats today in anticipation of a sloppy turf. Looks like they are gearing up for a running game

It looks like a sloppy mess on the tweets from the guy in the stadium.

As a reminder, I'll be tweeting the play-by-play as long as I can today on the @FlameFans & @FlameFansInGame feeds. Unfortunately I'll have to cut it off late due to a kid's birthday party obligation. Daddy's not happy about this late development.

From Lang:
Very interesting. It appears Liberty will play today's game in their white practice jersey.

Liberty wearing their practice uniforms to start because of the conditions. Will switch to game uniforms later

That makes no sense. Are they afraid they will get dirty?

Nick just said that Pat Kelly told the coaches the practice jerseys were lighter and they wanted to wear them!

My guess is they are wearing practice jerseys because they don't absorb as much water as the regular jerseys. Wet tackle-twill numbers would be heavy as heck. I can see them switching at halftime just to get the heavy jerseys from the first half off.

OH NO! We go for it on 4th on our side of the field and Coastal with the pick 6 on the deflection. UGH

Makes sense on a sloppy day like today as comet explained. Tough break on the interception

Deflected? Kelly had it pop right out of his hands But he's carried the load this season so he gets the benefit of the doubt and will more then make up for it

Great camera work on the 2 pt play

Wonder if that's the first time they showed that PAT look

I've notice no LU players have towels. Pat Kelly was wipping his hands on Apons jersey a play or two earlier. Rain in the forecast since forever. Anybody wearing long spikes?

Go Flames!!!

Good pick up. Why aren't we sporting some towels?

We've had the near fatal special teams mistake that we thankfully recovered and the turnover leading to points already. Hopefully that gets them out of the way and we get it in gear now. The lack of awareness on the 2pt conversion wasn't good either. Need a major improvement on special teams.

I think it was said in the preview thread that they are going with detachable spikes Papa

What good is a wet towel? If they went to the practice uniforms to avoid getting soaked, chances are they elected not to have towels too.

Yea Ok not really deflected. It was definately a PK miss and then bounced to the defender. That was on the ccu side of the field by the way. 63 yard pick 6. WOW!

I'm going out on a limb and think they could have more then one towel over the course of the game
