Current forecast for Saturday is 76, partly sunny and breezy. But according to Jamey Singleton
It's still a long way out, but watch next weekend closely - especially if you have plans up and down the east coast. An area of tropical activity has been given a 70% chance of development by the National Hurricane Center - likely to become either Tropical Storm or Hurricane Sandy by next Friday or Saturday... crossing Cuba and the Caribbean as early as Thursday.

Hope we get some injury updates soon.
It was good to see Mitch Hanson walking around with a smile after the game (With a mummified ankle) after he missed some time on the training table in the second half.
I saw Fergie in a whole knee brace. I'm thinking he will miss some time (my guess only). I would look for Peterson to step into the gameplan further and see more balls to take pressure off Pat. I don't think that hit affected Pat as much as the double coverage did. Also Woodrum saw a quick pass rush the whole game.
Did I see someone say Sassaman had a Hammy issue??? If so, that leaves us to walkon #2 Landis from Heritage HS.

As PK can attest to, hamstring injuries are stubborn as all get out during the recovery process. Let's hope he gets plenty of rest and good treatment these last few weeks and into the offseason

He def pulled up lame and coach shied away from field goals from then on. We also went to the sky kick afterward to put less pressure on it. Another key is the availability of ayers. Its a longshot but if hes healthy he would really help

Not that historical precedent means much in light of recent staff changes at both schools, but here are the results of the last three trips to Conway for the Flames:

2006:

Flames ... 26
Chants ... 28

2008:

Flames ... 43
Chants ... 38

2010:

Flames ... 31
Chants ... 45

Matchup to watch I think will be Hazel vs. Aikens. Hagen or Scott will probably match up with Presley most of the time and really the only guy Bayoh could match up with is Mastromatteo, because he would get absolutely abused by the taller receivers much like he was against Concord

So many people are making predictions based on how we've performed this season but forgetting how mediocre Coastal has looked.

Here's Coastal's schedule to date:

vs North Carolina A&T W29-13

@ Furman W47-45 3OT

vs Eastern Kentucky L35-17

@ Toledo L38-28

@ Appalachian State L55-14

vs Stony Brook L27-21

@ Virginia Military Institute - W34-7

I think this match-up is really really even. CC hasn't beaten anybody that they shouldn't have but they haven't lost to anyone they shouldn't have lost to. They have a couple wins that are closer than they would have preferred (Furman and NC&T) and one game where they looked pretty impressive (VMI). Just like we aren't the Liberty team from last year, this isn't the Coastal team from last year. I think it's going to be a really really close and competitive game that comes down to a costly turnover or penalty. I'm definitely going to be looking forward to the QB match-up between Hillary and Woodrum.

I disagree. Although, Furman is better than Presby (it's not by much btw), I think our win against Presby is more impressive. Even then, it's not like Coastal's 3OT win against Furman shows any big advantage against us. We're both 3-4, neither team has an impressive win but neither team has a bad loss. We both have wins that are rather unimpressive but wins nonetheless. I'm not saying we're better than Coastal, I just think the margin of error for this game is much closer than people are predicting.

Ferguson and Partilla are both knee injuries ... Davis is a hip. Partilla's playing time has dwindled in recent weeks anyway, and Thomas Nelson has been taking most of the reps at that OLB spot.

I am back for this week, but seeing as I've got desk duties (boss out of the country) to handle on top of the writing duties, I won't be blogging a whole lot. I'll be happy to answer any questions here or on Twitter, though.
