Liberty quarterback Josh Woodrum was one of three players added to the Jerry Rice Award watch list, which was updated and released earlier today by the Sports Network.

Along with Woodrum, the Sports Network added Jacksonville quarterback Kade Bell and North Dakota wide receiver Jameer Jackson to the 19-player watch list.

The Jerry Rice Award is in its second year of existence and is one of the four major awards handed out at the end of the FCS football season by the Sports Network.

First article from Mr Sordelett is about Josh:
Damien Sordelett, Lynchburg News and Advance wrote:A deafening noise filled Washington-Grizzly Stadium as Josh Woodrum walked to the line of scrimmage and called out the plays. The atmosphere was something he never experienced before, going as far to call it the ‘rowdiest" environment he ever played in.

Woodrum is completing 75% and he's just a Freshman. What he's doing is really beyond ridiculous and he's only going to get better. I wouldn't be surprised to see him rack up several more awards. Assuming we get an FBS invite, he's a great QB to have while we're making that transition.

I believe that if he stays healthy and plays the next three seasons he will own the QB record book at Liberty.
