I hope they bring their BELL with them, but have little chance to ring it.

I agree. This team is better than people think.

We will definetly win the uniform battle. Their school colors are atrocious!

Our offense has not proven they can consistently drive the field and put up points. Through 3 games we have scored 17, 24, and 14 points for an average of 18.33 points per game. It's even worse than that when you look at our scoring drives:
3 plays, 44 yards - touchdown
8 plays, 75 yards - touchdown
9 plays, 34 yards - field goal
3 plays, 27 yards - touchdown
4 plays, 43 yards - touchdown
10 plays, 49 yards - field goal
punt return - touchdown
6 plays, 39 yards - touchdown
5 plays, 92 yards - touchdown
We have had 2 drives > 50 yards in 3 games. Last year, against NC State, Robert Morris, and JMU (our first 3 games, comparative to this year's first 3 games) we had 6 drives > 50 yards.
I don't see us scoring that many points without help from our defense and/or special teams. I think our offense will be much better come conference play, but right now we cannot depend on them for points.
Having said that, Lehigh is pretty much in the same boat. They are averaging 26.33 points per game against Monmouth, Cent Con St, & Princeton. They are replacing their all-american QB just like us; this is their first road game in a hostile environment; we have played much better competition than they have. All this adds up to our first W on the year.
Should be a great game.

I noted that because I think that (especially Monmouth and CCSU) largely inflated their average because, to be frank, those teams arent that good (something I think has been noted about our schedule the last few years). I still think we win this game but itll be a close one just like last year.

I agree Beej. I put their offensive production to this point, pretty much equal to ours.

If you want a new offensive coordinator go hire the guy from The Citadel -- they just beat the brakes off of App St and Ga Southern in back to back weeks!!
But he may not fit the LU image profile for being a big name!

Citadel is a TO team (and very good at it) with an experienced QB. We would have to completely change our philosophy if we went that route

Yep, let's just fire our recently promoted OC after one game. Great idea.

I'm sorry bad idea, i thought winning was important but obviously its about changing lives...
but LU has the fired Western Carolina coach calling plays. that's better than the winning Citadel guy obviously.

Do your homework first. Wagner is not calling plays. He's our OLine coach. Stick to basketball.

You do realize also that in addition to what I said (and you conveniently ignored), the OC at the Citadel has been coaching for almost 20 years, all of them in a TO context. We could not only have to change our philosophy, but pretty much blow up the entire roster (as far as offense goes) to make that change.

Liberty hasn’t started a season with an 0-4 record since 1982. The Flames finished that season with seven straight victories.

It says Co- coordinator on the bio page...
And you guys were complaining about the offense... I was just giving suggestions and stating facts.
But I believe LU probably can still win the BSC.

Yes I was complaining about the offense, but it's not time to fire our OC after his first game. We have a new QB, just lost our All-American OG, replacing 4 of our top 5 WRs, our TE. They deserve time to build.

With Liberty on a bye next week, getting a win would be a huge boost of confidence before the opener against Gardner-Webb

Very excited for this game. this team needs some breaks instead of every break going to the other team.

Lehigh has been ranked in the top 20 for 20 consecutive weeks. Not shabby.

So, in the matter of 1 week, we have lost our #2 and #3 MLB for the year. Not good.
