Way to step up again Greg Ray!!! Great Job helping the OL get them to the 1 yd line.

Greg Ray, who made two starts in Boyd’s place last season at left guard, immediately stepped in and tried not to let the pressure of replacing Liberty’s most decorated lineman weigh on him.
“As soon as Malcolm went down, we told Greg — the whole offense, even the coaching staff — we told Greg, ‘We believe in you,’” Liberty tailback Aldreakis Allen said. “Our mission statement is ‘Believe.’ It’s just building on, and keep pushing.”
A sideline report in the first half hinted that Boyd may have a broken tibia, and Gill said he wasn’t sure exactly was broken, just that Boyd had “a broken something.” Boyd will be out indefinitely, and if it is a broken leg, his season is likely done. He has yet to redshirt, so if he’s lost for the rest of the season, he’ll probably be in line for another season if he wants it.
Ray will need to be ready to play for the long haul.
“He held up pretty well,” Gill said. “We were still able to do some good things there running the ball and in our pass protection. We’ll look it at a little more in detail on tape. We were still able to do the things we wanted to do having Greg Ray in the game.”
