Very nice and clean look! I would to see an Oregonish look to the helmets, but one can dream!

I REALLY like these!
Add some white pants with a little detail on the side and a blue helmet with the "LU" decal (instead of the hard-to-see fire bird), and we are in business.

I wouldn't mind the fire bird if they left off the liberty flames script and just left the bird. Maybe make it take up the side of the helmet, in my head that could look awesome, if I was better with the photoshop I could make it

Other than the weird, small bit of piping just below the armpits, that's a sharp look.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the bird logo, it is just hard to see on the helmet. Honestly, I'd be perfectly fine if they went back to the old blue helmets. I just don't like the look of the white ones.

I wonder how long it will take the bookstore to get these in...if they ever do?

You might have missed the rebranding. No more "LU" for anything.

Yeah, I guess I did. Was it discussed recently? I remember the big push a couple of years ago, but I believe that the white helmets with the LU on them came out after that. Maybe I missed something more recent.

Several years ago the LU merchandising gurus got their act together. Some of the results are standardized colors and the official emblem. Can you remember the contest football had (Karcher) that produced the decent emblem featuring a football ? And that football hijacked the Broncos blue? Now all sports are under the same flag. You don't build tradition by having different emblems and then constantly changing them. It also used to be next to impossible to buy LU stuff anywhere. Now with a enlightened leadership we can find our goodies at Walmart and Walgreens. I for one like the new way. It used to be so frustrating to see xxx and xxxx stuff all over and we were forced to rely on the bookstore. Although vastly improved the Bookstore remains reactive rather than creative. It took an act of congress to get them to get the mini helments. I bet if they took them to the stadium on game day the'd sell lots.

Good insight. Especially agree with the last opinion; I am surprised that there isn't a LU merchandise shop on the concourse on game days.

There is a mobile LU merchandise trailer at all football games. It's reasonably priced and very good quality as well. I have purchased quite alot there for my family.

Good to know - that makes sense - don't know how I've missed it.

Isn't the bookstore open as well on gamedays?

It is now. A few years ago, they would close it a couple hours before game time. That definitely left me :dontgetit

The trailer you speak of is from Universal Ts. They do most of the work for LU including logos / #s for jerseys I believe.

The new jerseys look so good. The colors are vivid and pop. Definitely an improvement over the previous.

Will they match the new jerseys?

I don't know how I feel about these. I liked the style of what we had previously had (plain) although they never quite looked right. I'm not sure what it was. But I think these days you've got to start varying your uniforms so this seems like a decent start. Not gaudy but not particularly anything to write home about either.
