Sounds like the AD down there wants to make a "name hire". He is probably still very much loved by the Carolina Panthers fanbase, so getting one of their favorite sons back would be a boost for them I'd guess

While he does have great experience, and I too hope he doesn't leave, he currently coaches our special teams (not our safeties or secondary) ..

As I said, he is a favorite son down there from his time with the Panthers, and its a low risk proposition because of how terrible the football team there is. It should be a testament that schools see our position coaches as viable candidates for head coaching positions. He will have to compete with App State for recruits down there, and for fans too. Best wishes to Coach Minter and will be rooting for the Camels (except if they ever play Liberty)

No I meant it figures he wasn't going to stay for long.
But considering we now know who runs flames nation it's certainly credible. Although you may not wish to use me as an endorsement.

My major point is that its a low risk move for Campbell...he does well there it can only help the program, especially with the PFL getting an autobid in 2013.

congrats to coach and best of luck.
no reason we shouldnt be able to drop the annual DII farce and schedule the camels for a potential DI win that would actually count in the standings

And why does it figure that it's official via flamesnation?
Few teams cause APP STATE to worry about recruiting.
