I saw this game at a pub after we didn't make the playoffs that year. It was the most impressive FCS game with great coverage I have seen. So many people at the pub in California thought it was such a fun way to determine a champion. When I told them that it was DIV I football, they looked at me like I was high on something. But funnest game and I wish I was going this year but I will be watching from home this year.

Those Appy highlights really get me going. That was one of the best game atmospheres I can remember. It started snowing at halftime and you could feel the noise echoing in the snow at the end when App called a timeout the MONTANA ... GRIZZLIES chant was so awesome. The place blew up when that final ball went incomplete. Cold as hell but amazing. The only other one that compared was last years UNI game in the Quarters. The game wasn't as good, but we just have a healthy hatred for UNI. I'm not old enough to remember why but we don't get along real well. The stadium was loud as hell and it was great to wallop them.

I have 3 cousins that have/are graduated/ing from Montana State. I don't think anybody (well, outside of maybe 1 or 2 folks) here REALLY understands just how big football is to MT and MTSU. It's a big freakin deal. LU's gonna be walking into the lions den. MT loves their football. They hate to lose. It's a super hostile place to play. The only thing we'll have going for us is that our name isn't Montana State.

This thread has really made me ready for this game... not banking that we win. I just love seeing us play some really good teams!
