Now for the final position outlook as we are three weeks away from the season opener against Wake Forest:
Players Lost:
Matt Bevins 2-time Big South All-Conference First Team (2009, 2010)
Mike Larsson 3-time Big South All-Conference (Second Team 2009 First Team 2010, 2011)
Ervin Garner

Alex Kacere
Players Returning
Ryan Ayers
Ryan Ferguson
Kevin Fogg
Aldreakis Allen
Korrey Davis
Players Incoming
John Lunsford 6-1 180 Lbs Ft. Myers, Fla. (Evangelical Christian HS)
Grant Bowden 6-3 190 Lbs Centreville, Va. (Westfield HS/Virginia Tech)
Liberty lost probably top 5 all time players at their positions in Mike Larsson and Matt Bevins. Also lost was Bevins' replacement for much of last season in Kacere. Lunsford will step right in and assume the kicking duties while Bowden will take over the punting. Bowden competed for the punting job at VT, so it will be interesting to see how he does when he takes the field against Wake Forest in a few weeks.
