The Hokies adjusted their slate to fit the league's new scheduling plan, pushing back a series against East Carolina that was set to start in 2014 and replacing Western Kentucky with Liberty in 2016, according to David Teel of the Daily Press. Virginia Tech athletic director Jim Weaver was on vacation and could not be reached to confirm the news.
Liberty AD Jeff Barber confirms that the Flames will play Virginia Tech in 2016 in Blacksburg.

If you haven't been to a game in Lane, you really don't understand what that place is like. The 90,000+ at Fed Ex field don't match the 56k at Lane. It really is incredible how loud that place gets. Hopefully, we get them early in the season as they are much more vulnerable then (see JMU 2010).
