ASHEVILLE — Jesse Karnezis saw no reason to drag out what was inevitable.

So the only rising senior in Western North Carolina with multiple scholarship offers for college football made a commitment on Monday.

Karnezis said that Liberty fits everything he wants on and off the field after playing his final season as a lineman at Asheville High.

And by the way, Karnezis already has a roommate picked out for Lynchburg, Va. — former Cougars defensive back/wide receiver Justin Fritts also gave the Flames a verbal commitment last month.
