If that's him playing on a torn ACL I can't wait to see what he can do at 100 percent! By the way have we had verbals like the last three come out of no where so early before? Very excited about the football teams future!

Looking at his highlights, he hits like a linebacker (even though he is 185 pounds) and looks like he could do well against guys of a Brian Quick or Chris Summers body type despite being just south of 6 feet tall. Good pickup by Coach Gill

He hits like a Strong Safety....I don't know where you are getting linebacker

I was looking at the highlights and he looked like he hit like a player 20 or 30 pounds heavier than his listed weight and position. They had him up on safety blitz a lot and he is very quick off the line in force situations

what Im saying is that he may be a safety but he is showing a level of physicality on par with linebackers, something which will serve him very well in college

5'11 185 is not on par with a D-1 Linebacker

Thats my point. a 5'11" 185 pound safety that plays with a level of physicality akin to a linebacker but still can lock down in pass coverage. very good combination IMO

We're not gonna get anywhere so we'll just agree on the fact that he is a good pickup for Coach Gill and call it a push

The smallest LB on our team is Dylan Lewellyn at 6'1 205......He hasn't seen the field.

Other Linebackers
Zach Erickson LB R-Freshman 6-0 255
Chase Griffiths LB Junior 6-3 230
Scott Hyland LB Junior 6-0 220
Marques Jenkins LB Senior 6-1 225
Nick Martin LB Junior 6-1 215
Thomas Nelson LB Senior 6-1 220
Jimmy O'Grady LB Sophomore 6-0 235
Bobby Partilla LB Sophomore 6-0 215
Zachary Schreiber LB Sophomore 6-1 210
Nick Sigmon LB Sophomore 6-1 245
Demetrius Ward LB Senior 6-1 240

This guy plays like a Safety, not a linebacker.

New to the forum but I will say this is my son, and I am very proud of him hard worker at his craft and he is never satisfied with his current status as a player, feeling he always has to prove himself and always working to improve. I think the fans and the staff will be more than happy when he takes the field come 2013
