Liberty Head Football Coach Turner Gill has announced some recent changes to the Flames' 2012 roster.
Redshirt senior quarterback Tyler Brennan and redshirt freshman defensive lineman Luke Pingley have voluntarily left the program to pursue other career interests than football.
So are they still at LU?

Brennan is gone trying to pursue baseball on some level and I heard Pingley wasn't going to be eligible anyways and just walked out in the middle of practice one day

Guess he didn't really have a shot at starting.

I wish both guys nothing but the best moving forward. If my memory serves me correctly, Tyler was quite the baseball prospect back in high school.

LUconn, that was my feeling too...and Im guessing none of the other guys that are in the article would have seen the field either

So without signing a QB this past class, we have a 3rd string opening, Right? Or does it become Gabe is 3rd string if needed?

Javan Shashaty (sp?) would be 3rd string unless something unexpected happens.

They've had a couple 2013 QB recruits on campus.

One might have been this kid.
Charlie High got a Division I scholarship offer — kind of.
The Christian Academy of Knoxville record-setting quarterback received an offer last Friday from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.
The Flames are trying to make the transition from the Football Championship Subdivision (formerly Division I-AA) to the Football Bowl Subdivision (Division I-A).
The 6-foot, 180-pound High said, via text message, that his visit there went well and that he is considering the school.
High received his first offer — from Tennessee Tech — in March. He's also been offered by Tusculum College.
He recently worked out at a camp at Tennessee and Wake Forest and is awaiting his first true Division I offer.
