according to a site I found, unless you are a midyear JC player, you cannot sign a NLI until February 6 2013 at the earliest

Yeah, it is a long wait until February. But frankly there really hasn't been as much switching verbal commitments in recent years as there used to be. Once a kid commits, they usually stick unless they get a BCS-type offer at the last minute.

And I added his YouTube reel above. It is worth a look.

Cave Spring lineman commits to Liberty

Cave Spring offensive tackle Dylan Brucki has committed to play football at Liberty University, Knights head coach Tim Fulton said Tuesday.

Fulton said the 6-foot-4, 300-pound Brucki chose Liberty over Hampton University and that the rising Cave Spring senior was receiving close looks from Richmond and William and Mary.

Fulton accompanied Brucki on a visit to the Liberty campus in Lynchburg in May. Liberty has expressed a desire to move its athletic programs from the FCS to the FBS level.

"If you go to Liberty, there's an excitement up there," Fulton said. "There's an excitement about athletics."

Brucki made second-team All-Timesland in 2011 as Cave Spring reached the Group AA Division 3 semifinals. Fulton listed several of Brucki's attributes.

"His size and his intelligence," the Cave Spring coach said. "We didn't throw the ball a lot, but they like the way Dylan aggressively run-blocks. You can see on film how he aggressively comes off a double-team block and gets to the next level."

Brucki will join former Cave Spring quarterback Josh Woodrum on the Liberty roster.
