If there is one common theme amongst many of the prospects who have committed or who are on Army's "hot list" of recruits offered, it's that they have a personal connection with West Point and in some cases, the Army football as well.
I couldn't find a direct link but a newspaper story on the kid references that he is the son of an Air Force colonel and he has lived around the world.

Waiting on official offer from Liberty. Has received an offer from West Point. His dad was a West Point grad and it looks like that is where is he headed unless Liberty offers.

Michael has committed to the United States Military Academy at West Point. I think it is a great fit for him and he is really excited about this opportunity to play football and also serve his country.

Id say that that is one school I wouldnt mind one bit losing a kid to...God bless him and good luck not only on the field but off as well
