I am fairly certain that I can / will be there 9/15/12. It would be very unlikely for me not to go. I am really looking forward to this game, and the rare opportunity of seeing LU play live and in person as a fan. Has LU ever even played this far West?

I am not sure if I will drive the six hours or fly to Missoula. I live outside of Salt Lake City. If anyone finds for them that it makes more sense to fly into Salt Lake City (for monetary reasons etc) instead of into Missoula, let me know and we'll see what can be done. In other words, if anyone is even considering going, it would be great to see what can be done.

Montana is one of the prettiest States in the country.

in Missoula MT of all places

I am tentatively good to go. I am working out the details because September is a prime time month for my work.

For those planning on heading up to Missoula, are you guys thinking about arriving in on Thursday or Friday? I assume most of us will try to fly out on Sunday.

Missoula is one of my favorite cities in America. And I travel ... a lot.

My flight arrives in Missoula late Friday morning and I leave just after noon on Sunday.

Delta, I presume? Flying through Minneapolis or Salt Lake?

Continental/United through Denver.

Oooooh ... I could use my Elite status. Those flights were double the Delta rates when I checked last week. I'm going to have to double-check through Continental.

My job revolves around the weekend. No chance I can make this.

Jobs come & go ... the Flames play in Missoula like once in a lifetime.

Just reschedule the wedding and move the honeymoon to Missoula. Simple.

If we could get 500 to 1,000 people up there, I think that would speak volumes of both programs.

Montana's reputation doesn't need enhancing. But it would be cool to have a strong contingent of FlameFans make such a lengthy trip.

Of course I want to go. Working out the logistics and more importantly getting permission from the wife is the problem. Any tips?

Actual phone conversation from 6:15 this morning (husband is already at work for 12 hr shift before I wake up):

Husband: "Hello?"
Me: "Heyyy, how ya doing? You remember our 25th anniversary is this year, right? Have you made plans?" (laughing to self, as I know 1. he doesn't remember what year anniversary it is and 2. he never makes plans)
Husband: "ummmmm. Not really. What do you have on your mind?"
Me: "How about a trip to Missoula, MT?"
Husband: "What on earth for?!"
Me: "A football game on September 15."
Him: "Are you out of your mind, woman?!" long pause....... "but, it will be elk season... so, okay - maybe.possibly. i'll think about it. we'll see" (or some other nonsense, i don't hear anything after the word "okay")
Me: "yayyyy! we're going to Montana!!"
