Congratulations to Jeff Barber and the University administration. Coach Gill, welcome to Liberty. This is a very good hire. I hope we look back in a few years and say that it was a great hire. Glad to see it happen so quickly. Let's get working on this next recruiting class.

It was one of the biggest days in FF history...I remember that. It was a younger site at the time though so not as many users...keep in mind the season we had before it though....so yes, IMO this trumps it.

The McKay hire was big, not anywhere near this BIG.

This was asked in another discussion but I was talking to another friend just now (who is definitely on board with this hire) and I have a feeling that this is going to have a real steadying influence on the recruiting class for 2012. Maybe we will see some names that Rocco may have been seriously targeting drop off the radar for Coach Gill (because of the differing philosophies) but I think that we should still come out of it with a very solid class come Feb 1.

Thanks for clarifying that. I've been concerned about that. Maybe we should start a new thread on this but how big of an impact will this have on the current QB position battle? I mean I love Woodrum and Gill(so far) but Woodrum obviously isn't an option QB.

I think that will depend on the kind of OC he brings in. Woodrum does have good feet so Im sure that they will find ways to make use of him as well as Henderson. The guys we really have to wonder about at this point are actually Brennan and Hudson.
