Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - On Wednesday, Danny Rocco was officially introduced as the new head coach of the Richmond football program.

While the timeline for Richmond returns to a somewhat-normal off-season schedule, Rocco's former employer, Liberty, is tasked with replacing a coach who won at least a share of four Big South championships.

Whether or not recruits choose Liberty could come down to how quick the university chooses a coach ....... :!:

That has been a concern from the moment we knew we had an opening. The good news is that the dead period around the bowls protects us a bit. We absolutely need to have a full staff in place by the time the dead period ends in January if we want to have any chance at a decent first class for the new coach.

Wouldn't that exclude any NFL assistants as mentioned in the article? Unless it's a Petrino-like early exit
