Sly, believe what you want, but it's all a formality now.

Even so, it still is not appropriate.

Just curious why this is inappropriate?

as i been saying all the along, Tressell would be interested. We'll see if this is true

another name would be Ron Brown from Nebraska.

I don't see how it's inappropriate. Our coach is accepting another HC job. What's the logical next question? Who's the next coach!

I agree, it's almost a slap in the face to the program for him to move to a 3-8 in-state FBS program.

its totally appropriate Sly...why not??. I am told it is an internal issue with the administration from one who is very reliable.

It has to be some problem behind the scenes it just doesn't add up otherwise.

I don't know about Ron Brown he has kept his ties very close to Nebraska since the Osborne era. Although if he felt God wanted him to take any job I'm sure he would. A negative would be that he has never had HC experiance.

I know the guy just got hammered at Kansas but a different Osborne guy (who has been sucessful as a HC) is Turner Gil.

Both of these are guys that would buy into Liberty and it's Christian stance. I have no idea if they would be interested.

Which is good to hear. I mean don't get me wrong I am not happy to see him go. I really like the man, but I really do believe both sides are better off.

Now I have absolutely no clue who LU will even begin to look at.

OK, I'll grant everyone that it is time to begin this conversation. I was reluctant because of the circumstances at play but it is now time to move on.

The first name that comes to mind is Turner Gil. He's available and would be a great fit at Liberty. While things went horribly wrong for him at Kansas, I believe we would be positioning him more for success in Lynchburg.

IMO Gill shouldn't take that big of a drop. He'd be a major coup for us.

I'd love the hire. I could see it working if we paid him and sold him on the future vision.

Big Huskers Fan here personally love to see Ron.

p.s. Do agree with Sly this maybe premature though I think there are some hurt feelings on this move by Rocco. Being a lateral one and all.

+1 on the Husker fan but I think the better shot of landing a Husker would be Gill.

no chance its a lateral move..cmon man geez LU fans take things so personal and lose sight of the facts..they won a National Championship..Liberty has barely sniffed post season play
