Very odd timing for this team meeting and then this news coming from Greg Burton. Burton knows his stuff and has good connections. I think this may be happening. Should make for an interesting day and week.

I have no confirmation. This move would make ZERO sense. I understand him interviewing but if he were to take this job it would be ridiculously odd timing in light of realignment. Richmond has ZERO interest in FBS.

I have heard from multiple sources that Coach Clark hasn't been in his office since the Stony Brook game. That might also explain the team meeting. Keep in mind that Coach Rocco has never let an assistant coach go ... ever.

That would be an interesting move. I'm not convinced it would be anything more then a lateral move. But I could be wrong. The academics are much stricter and the cost is huge. But the campus is gorgeous and we had an assistant coach from another sport go there.

Do you think realignment is as close as we all hope if Rocco is leaving for one of the schools we know have no intention of moving? I can see him leaving but leaving for Richmond seems odd.

edit: I see eveyone else had the same thought.

Yea the dots are certainly connecting, I'd be shocked if it wasn't him from what hearing. I just contacted some friends at UofR, but I'm about to go into a two hour meeting, I'll try to relay if I hear any confirmation.

I am hearing exactly what you posted. I just hope and pray Rocco stays. Clark should be fired, we all know it. I know there was a lot of talk about Ole Miss and Penn State. I didn't know until this morning that Ole Miss had already hired a coach last week (shows how much I have kept up with the news).

That came from Greg Burton. Press conference scheduled for tomorrow. If he says it, its truth concerning VCU & UR sports.
