This is how you guys wrapped up your Thanksgiving? Seriously?

I am exceedingly thankful for how far our program has come from just 6-7 years ago. I am thankful that we have an administration that is willing to make athletics a priority at a time when many other schools are slashing budgets and even considering dropping football. In fact, I am thankful that our AD has gotten us to the place where we finally have the Title IX posse off our backs and webare positioned to accept an FBS offer should one arise. I am thankful that in spite of many of our views that a certain decision could have been handled much better, we have a head coach who wants to win as much as we do and wants to do it the right way.

Lessons learned ... striving to take next step.

SLY. You argument was good until the last line. How is it logical to assume that any coach would NOT want to win? (unless ur the Colts and holding out for Luck!). I have never met a coach who has said "Man I hope we suck this year!". Fans may have unrealistic expectations, but probably a desire that does not exceed their coaches when it comes to winning! And no, this is not how I finished my thanksgiving. It's how I started Black Friday knowing Im not getting the new Big Screen so suck it!

As for next years motto:
We're almost there
At least we're not the Cubs
2nd place, still better then last place
Just say 'No'

"Suck for Luck!", wait that won't work

"Liberty Football: You'll have free time in December"

"Flames Football: Champions for Christ, but that's about it"

In all seriousness I am looking forward to next year. I think this team needs to get back to fundamentals on D and in kick coverage, then things will be alright. I also think the offense will benefit from a more "traditional" look.

"Stop pussyfooting around!" ----Jerry Falwell.

Well, maybe this should be the defensive theme, because they need to just make the decision to be more aggressive and not play to lose.

From what coach said in his post season interview with York, he has already delivered the theme for next season to the team.

Themes are good for players , they do nothing for me as a fan.

To borrow a phrase from Tenn. Temple's web page, I think next year's LU football slogan should have the word "mission" in it, like:

"Complete the Mission"

Of course, the haters would prefer something like "Mission Impossible." :nono

What about "start the mission" since we have a lot of new players
Or
"continue the mission"
Not being a hater just like the idea
