Louisville (KY) Courier-Journal wrote:J.J. Jude also looking for record

Johnson Central High School senior J.J. Jude doesn’t get as much attention as some of the other high school football players in the state.
But the 5-foot-10, 190-pound Jude is set to start what could be a record-breaking season.
Jude has 5,515 career yards rushing and 50 touchdowns and is withing striking distance of catching former Fort Knox star Derek Homer for the top spot on the state’s all-time career rushing list. Central’s Anthony Wales starts the season 86 yards behind Jude.
Here's the mention of the Flames ...
Just like with the attention, Jude is also not getting the recruiting love like Wales. Jude has offers from Eastern Kentucky and Liberty. There are some other smaller schools looking.

Johnson Central running back J.J. Jude, who ran for 358 yards and seven touchdowns against St. Thomas More (Canada) last Friday, made an unofficial visit to Eastern Kentucky on Saturday. He has offers from EKU and Liberty.
In four games this season, Jude now has 962 yards and upped his career mark to 6,477. There are now just 13 players in state history ahead of Jude, who will pass former Boone County star and NFL great Shaun Alexander with 188 more yards.
I have had the privlage of watching this kid play he is dynamic a mixure of speed and strenght. He finished his high school career with 8637 yds to become the all-time leading rusher in Ky. I heard that he loves Liberty, does anyone know if he has gave a verbal yet?

The Courier-Journal
Eastern Kentucky University football coach Dean Hood was one of the first recruiters to show interest in Johnson Central High School running back J. J. Jude.
It paid off. Jude, who broke the state record for career rushing yards, told The Courier-Journal that he will sign with the Colonels. The 5-foot-10 190-pounder picked EKU over Liberty.
Jude was a two-time first-team Courier-Journal All-Stater and ended his career with 8,637 rushing yards. He ran for 3,061 yards and 31 TDs this past season to become the first Kentucky player to surpass 3,000 yards twice. He’s only the sixth player to reach 3,000 in any season.
I met this kid on his visit. Seemed like a lock to get him. At the time Liberty was his only offer. Surprised he is headed to EKU. Wonder if our other RB commits scared him away.
