we are heading up on wed for the game and found a hotel that fits the bill for the 12 of us and just curious if anybody knows anything about the hotel or the area. comfort inn medford ny 8 miles from stadium. thanks ronnie

The most convenient hotel is probably the Holiday Inn Express in Stony Brook. I don't know anything about that particular Comfort Inn in Medford. Medford in general is considered a little more working class than Stony Brook, but I can't imagine you having any problems. It's probably about a 15 minute drive to the stadium. Sorry I'm not more help.

If you've never been to Long Island before, it's just a vast, dense suburban sprawl even 60 miles out from the city where Stony Brook and Medford are located. There are shopping centers and restaurants just about everywhere you look.

thanks, i stay in motels/hotels at least 3 nights a week for work and they are all based on price. but we are gonna have 4 younger kids with us. already pulled the trigger so no turning back now. we are stopping by staten island on thursday night and gonna venture into the city friday. i sure hope our redneck twang doesn't stick out too much.

We are staying at the Courtyard not far from McAuthur Airport. Flying into LGA Friday afternoon. Set you Saturday. I know Nick will have an AWESOME game. Don W
