Mosley is a beast. If we can get him to stay on the mountain he could impact the running game like another back from LCA did a few years ago...

Recruiting is just starting up for running back Carrington Mosley out of Lynchburg (Va.) Liberty Christian Academy. The 5-foot-11, 210-pounder had a big junior season and that has just gotten teams looking.

Best running back I've seen at the highschool level. Even if he does get to run behind the best O Line in the state.
I saw him knock out three defensive players (trying to tackle him) this year in ONE game and they carried off a fourth. By the fourth quarter, no one wanted to tackle him.
Would be an awesome Full Back.

Made it official on Twitter a couple weeks ago:

A big get for us and if he can adjust to the college game quickly him, Rice, Abnar and Macon could be one of the top stables of RBs in the country

Let´s come back to reality BJ. We almost certainly have lost our all conference RB, who would have been the centerpiece of our offense. We will have 5 or 6 RBs, and there is potential in that group but noone with much experience, and noone who stands out as having transcendent talent. You are saying we could have one of the best groups of RBs in the country? Don´t get me wrong, I will be excstatic if you are right, but that´s a bit overly optimistic even for you.

We could, but as I said, it will depend on how him and Macon do adjusting to the college game and how Rice and Abnar do as the #1 and 2 backs (likely) this fall. Mosley is a very talented RB and a big body which is something we lost with AA getting suspended (again). You're right in that I would be ecstatic to be right in my projection but I do believe this could be a very special group that Coach Fobbs will be able to work very well with.

I wonder if he is a walk-on or if he is getting Aldreakis' scholie.

Thats a good question Sly...if he did that can officially close the book on AA, but if not then you have to wonder where that scholarship went. Anyway, his arrival from across campus will make for an interesting battle at RB come August.

BJ, Please close the book on AA. He was ok 20% of the time. Lets stop wondering which A in AA will show up for a game!

Now now, he was only mentioned by me because of what happened some weeks ago and Sly only mentioned him because of the scholarship. Let's not turn this into a discussion of who thinks he is good and who thinks he isn't.
As for the original topic, Mosley is a big back who can break a big run (he has had a few 50+ runs in the couple years Ive followed him). My concern, as has been mentioned before, is how he will adjust to the college game.

Problem I c is going into season there is no "big" back other than incoming Macon. The loss of AA will def hurt and that can't b denied. The kid carrying ton if I'm not mistaken is a FB by nature and I don't think that's a good recipe for success if he is the feature back. Plus I could of sworn I read he was a 4.9 kid. This could be a year where rice and Macon split carries as the TB with dj still probably having the roll of change of pace 3rd down back. Either way I think no one will separate themselves enough unless we are gonna change whole offense n go spread with do in backfield or double tight and go with zone read type, but we don't hv that type personnel either.

Maybe some of y'all are not old enough to hv seen what's out there, not saying this kid isn't good, but that's a bold statement some of you are making. Not trying to start anything, but just pointing out an observation.

Forbidden, any reason why you seem to have forgotten that we speak English on here and not "textese"?
Anyway, Mosley I think can handle a lot of carries. When LCA routinely beats teams by 30+ points, there isn't much point to keep him in the game and give others a chance (like Hurtak and others that LCA & LU Mom could better identify).

Once again ill say this, if he is breaking long runs of 50+ and runs a 4.9 then that just says a lot about the completion level he is facing. I have no reason to believe that type of speed would be of great consequence at the college level.
Ps. Textese is my first language btw

Im sure that given some time with Coach Gillespie and the facilities available here, he can improve that number (Not saying he will be running a 4.4 at 230 Lbs by the time the season rolls around necessarily, but he certainly can improve).

Like I said not saying the kid is bad at all, but he is probably better suited for FB and getting the traps dives and counters, and yes I would hope over time his speed comes down

Just curious--did Mosley have other scholarship offers?
