Man, Lehigh has played a lot of games this year. They must be playing 2 a week. I guess that's the best way to ensure you get to the 7 win threshold.

Word on the street is Coastal didn't even complete a pass for the entire game.

While Stony Brook rushed for over 400 yards

JMU lost their running back at the half. #11...dang it, what's his name? Anyway, ODU held JMU to 35 yards of offense in the second half just before their final drive stalled at the 30. Their kicker missed a 44 yarder as time expired. Why didn't he do that against us?

wow...only 13 passes between CCU and SB. SB went 0 for 4 and CCU went 5 for 9 for 13 yards haha. Are you kidding? 13 yards of passing offense in the game and CCU was down big and only attempted 9 passes, ESPN's box score has to be wrong, you would think they had to throw the ball a ton to try to get back in the game. I guess maybe SB just controlled the clock and ball and they didn't have possession. We better be working on run defense the next 2 weeks

I'm thinking there might be some people arguing for Stony Brook to have a shot at an at large playoff spot. If their only loss here on out is against LU, I wonder if there would be a case for that ....
EDIT
jinxy, did you see the game at all? they were playing in slop -- there's no way they were going to be throwing the ball in that wet mess.

Stoney beat Coastal 42 - 0. We just got by Presby....
I wouldn't be worried about if Stoney should get a play-off spot if we beat them.
After our showing today, we need to be worried about beating Stoney.
Because right now, it doesn't look promising!

So if we beat Presby 63-20 instead of 27-20 youd feel better about our chances three weeks from now? For someone with the username "No Fear" you really are acting a lot more like Chicken Little

I was going to repost THE picture, but this was good as well.

You aren't making any sense. Yes, of course if you beat a team 63-0, rather than squeeze by in overtime, it shows how good you are.
If you think beating Presby in overtime shows we are ready to play and beat Stoney (who beat Coastal 42 - 0 today) at home, you are a fool.

Im saying that you cant project today's results on a game three weeks from now. We stunk it up for 3 3/4 quarters...no...we sucked...but when the big plays needed to be made...they were made. Good teams find ways to win bad games...and we did exactly that when basically our season could have been on the line. We dont know what is going to happen up there on Nov. 19 and so we shouldnt just assume that because we won a close game and Stony Brook won convincingly that they are just going to crush us in their house.

Beej, let me break it down for you:
We played bad.
This is a message board.
People on message boards say whatever pops into their head without thinking.
People on message boards tend to be slightly fanatical.
Fanatics think they're team is the best ever or the worst ever depending on their mood.
This is what is going on right now that you're incapable of figuring out.

Let me break it down for you, so you understand....
Liberty vs Presby 27 - 20 Presby plays Liberty even up at home for 4 qtrs
LU finally wins after 2OT

I understand just fine...Stony Brook beats Presbyterian by 18...we beat Presbyterian by 7...what does that tell me? nothing...we beat Coastal by 36. Stony Brook beats Coastal by 42...what does that tell me? nothing...what we did against PC and what they did tells me zero about what will happen three weeks from now. If the coaches had the attitude you have right now, theyd just forfeit the game against Stony Brook and save all that expense traveling because obviously we wont beat Stony Brook because we struggled to beat a team they beat by 18 points and they beat a team by 42 that we only beat by 36.

Fear, for the love of God, please don't continue misspelling Stony Brook for the next 3 weeks. Even "teh" BJ Willams knows that there's no "e" in Stony Brook: http://www.stonybrook.edu/ .
