G-W is bad, the Big South "is what we thought it was". It's us, CCU, and SBU.
Defense did what it needed to do, offense showed some positives.

Need more Desmond Rice.
To be fair to GWebb, their starting QB was an unknown quantity. That hurts.

I was expecting a much better game from the Bulldogs as well...Its really gonna come down to us making sure we hold serve at home against CCU next week. BTW TTL didnt you say this was gonna be our WTF game or something?
Des does need more carries for sure...as I said in the game thread, He has potential to be crazy good.

We will need a running game if we expect to do more then win/tie for for the BSC title.
Mike Brown has deceptive numbers. A lot of his yardage totals are YAC's. Not that it's a bad thing but I think it gives a false sense of security when you look at his totals.
Apparently our D linemen need to find a new weight loss powder.

Yes I did, in the same way you were wrong about JMU and Lehigh.
Get off my back, support the team, stop stalking the negativity.

It was kinda obvious GWebb couldn't beat us. I expected it wouldn't be a blowout, but not really much of game either.
There's a few things to whine about, but I'll take the win.
Now to go watch the UNR vs. UNLV game. My woman and I might be the only ones who care!

Go Pack!
(Not that it matters, CSU isn't going to contend in the MWC, so may the best team win).

Good win for the guys. Still concerned about our non-existent running game. I didn't see the game, seems like we might have let up some after we got out to a quick lead? Believe we will take care of bidness next week, looking forward to being there for the game.

Hopefully it will be more than 'brownie points"!
I root for anything Vegas, even though they will get killed

Good solid win for the Flames. One of the first times I've seen them play as a "team" the entire game this year.

Only 1 personal foul penalty and it
a)didn't cost us a score and
b)was offset by GW's pf flag of their own.
Hooray progress!

Mike Brown threw for a career-best 363 yards and three scores to lead the Flames to a Big South opening 35-3 victory over Gardner-Webb.
Liberty scored twice before Gardner-Webb's offense had its first possession of the game, setting the tone for a 35-3 victory for the Flames, Saturday afternoon, inside of Spangler Stadium.
The win, Liberty's second in a row, levels the Flames' season record at 3-3 and gives Liberty a 1-0 start in Big South play.

Any word if the game will be rebroadcast on MASN or the Liberty Channel?

love me that ESPN3
was able to go back and watch the whole game.
couple things:
Kevin Fogg with that great hit/forced fumble. I love this kid.
From the shotgun, many snaps come high. Not sure if its by design but it scares the crap outta me every time it happens. Couple times #10 had to leave his feet to get it.
REAL tired of watching SCH go 2 yds and a cloud of dust. Enough already. Ditto Brennan going up the middle when he's in. Wheres my man Gagliardi anyway?
TOMMY SHAVER rocks.
Summers with another solid day at the office. The guy is just freakin' smooth. Same w/ MB.
Des Rice is really gonna be special.
Lotta nice stuff, esp early- then looked like we let off the gas a little. On to COASTAL. MUST.... WIN... THIS ONE...

Missed the second half because of church. Loved the first quarter. Seemed like we let up just a little in the second. Can't say anything about the 3rd or the 4th.
Chauncey's been great blocking but isn't impressing me running the ball. Aldreakis is looking like he's starting to get there. Everyone I talked to who was watching the second half said Des could be our future.

seemed like the kid broke off 8-10 yds every other time he touched the ball. Can't wait to see him for the next couple yrs.
Forgot to mention Bevins looked good for PATs- no problems with lift/distance, etc
Kacere ... don't know what to think. Like LANG said- the kid on D straight up skyed to get that ball. Looked like a pretty solid kick otherwise- had good elevation on it. But he's nowhere near automatic and that's what we've come to expect from Matt.
keeping fingers crossed that he develops over the summer.
Looking forward to see how we come out vs. CCU

TTL, just in case you forgot Nevada is still in the WAC this year, they join the MWC next year.
Sorry, didn't mean to turn this in to the Battle for the Fremont Canon thread

I wasn't sure. Either way, I was rooting for UNR to further demoralize UNLV. Which they did. Which hopefully carries over to the game against CSU in a couple weeks.
