Let's just say this should be a much better week for the Big South.

I'm really curious to see what happens in Williamsburg.

if the Dukes take down W&M and become a legit top-10 team will everyone chillax?

carrying it a step further, if we win the BSOUTH and at the end of year have just the one loss to a top-10 team, do we feel better @ our propects?

No. We have to win those games. No moral victories.

Agreed...I dont know what it is about even the worst I-A/FBS teams but somehow they manage to get the better of even some decent I-AA/FCS teams but once they are back in their division, the reality of how bad they are becomes apparent. Russell Wilson really was the straw that stirs the drink in Raleigh and they now are seeing that letting him go...well lets just say that if we had knocked them off, O'Brien would have needed to start cleaning his desk out as soon as he left the locker room.

Philip Rivers was the H.C. , O.C. and Starting Q.B. with out some one like him, state will always suck.

all the wolfpack fans at my church said if we didn't have the 7 turn overs we would have beat them.

First of all, W&M isn't that good at all this year. I think we're seeing that (the no-show vs. UVA and a 3 point win vs. a D2)

Yeah- that #5 ranking is not everything. Meanwhile, both JMU and Lehigh could well be in the top 10 come Monday.

SBU is working Laffy over on the scoreboard, but their passing game sucks- 1-9 for 35 yards. Laffy has controlled the time of possession.

Thurs:
NC State 14, Cincinnati 44

Saturday:
Presby 21, Furman 62
Norfolk St 33, CSU 3
VMI 13, Akron 36
Coastal 31, NC A&T 14
Lafayette 20, Stony Brook 37
JMU 20, W&M 14

Presby lost big but despite that their fans are happy 'cause we lost. Good focus there.
CSU- good gosh amighty. hang it up already.
VMI- bad but don't tell them that. You know in 1964 they beat...........
CCU- whatever. Thats like scheduling Kentucky Wesleyen
SB- no idea what to make of this team, but I think they are underachieving just like us. Maybe not quite as badly.
JMU continues to roll - decent team in a good conf. I know you guys dont wanna hear this but I think thats an ok loss IF THERE IS SUCH A THING.

That CCU win was pretty good. I saw a few people picking NCAT.

CSU and VMI are basically d2's this year.

Presby is improved, but shouldn't threaten for the conference title.

Not sure what to make out of GW yet. I guess we'll find out in 2 weeks.

CCU has had a solid non-conference. Best in the conference at this point. I'm glad we get them at home. It won't be easy.

And of course Stony Brook will be a challenge. They do terrible every year OOC. Makes no sense.

I love ya but no way you can compare:

Furman, CATABWA (what is that anyway?) and NC A&T to
NC State, JMU and Lehigh.

C'mon bro.

Uhm, A&T has been one of the most consistantly worst FCS teams for the past 5 years.

to be fair...don't forget to add Kentucky Wesleyan to LU's list and add Western Carolina to CCU's list. kind of evens things out a little more.

CSU has us both beat- who cares? CCU is winning games against FCS opponents and we aren't.

WCU and Kentucky Wesleyan... there's not much a difference anymore haha

oh wait, you conveniently left another ccu opponent off the list........lest we not forget that ccu also played the bulldogs between the hedges?!?!? sure they got drubbed, but georgia was on the schedule. now, i think that trumps anything ncsu, jmu, lehigh or rob morris has to offer.

i'm just playing devil's advocate by the way. lu's schedule looks great this year. with the exception of kentucky wesleyan of course.
