Coach Rocco gave a nice speech talking about the players writing declarations on what "the quest continues" means to them and how he read them all on the way down to raleigh last weekend and how moved he was. He said that from time to time through the season he will call the players into the office to talk about what they wrote and if they are living up to them. He said he has seen a lot of players growing not just personally but spirirtually. Rocco also mentoined that he and bill gillespie are spiritually accountability partners and how it has strengthened his walk. Lastly he said he could not wait for tomorrow night and that revenge will happen with a dead serious look on his face.

I was at the meeting and I have heard Coach Rocco speak plenty of times. I think that he is an inspirational leader... he makes anyone want to suit up and play on his team. Unlike some of the naysayers, I would love to see him stick around here. I have no doubt that a bigger opportunity might fall into his lap, but if he stayed, I think that he will be one of those coaching legends that we've seen at other schools. Listening to Gillespie's e-mail, I heard a sideways reference to Asa- that some people have you believing that they are on the right path, but then they make other choices.

I'm always a little concerned about any 1AA opponent, but after Coach's comments about tonight's game, I have no doubts that we will win.

Coach also has a great sense of humor.

Rocco said he had his phone set to vibrate at the luncheon, and when it rang, the caller ID was from the athletics office so he took the call. To his surprise, the call was a voice recording of HIMSELF inviting him to attend the game Saturday at Williams Stadium!
