Surprised nobody has mentioned this yet. Tweeted last night from AD Barber.

They've been talking about this for a couple of years. Jerry and Barber loved the ribbon boards at WVU and have wanted to put them in since.

What's the time frame for adding the student side second level? I forgot.

When we need it. If fans turn out the way they should this Saturday it would be a nice step toward it happening sooner rather than later.

i think it'll happen next year, and it might just be filled by new freshman.

It would only be appropriate to add the next level on the visiting side, if we are following the five year timeframe that was set for the stadium construction. If we had the led ribbon board enclosing the entire horseshoe of the stadium, now that would be cool. This is a great first step. Great job Barber! :D

I think we will regularly start seeing attendances around 20,000 before too long...if we win Saturday night, we could get our first one when JMU comes to town

We could get our first one Saturday against RMU. We had 19,300 for the opener last year against Savannah State.

What happened at the stadium today? I was going by at about 2:30 3:00 and there were about a dozen emergency vehicles in the parking lot including a fire truck and 2 ambulances with 8-10 police cars and stuff. Did something happen to a construction worker doing the video ribbon?

Man got injured on a bucket truck working on the lights. I believe he was even getting some current from the broken bulb and his partner that was up there with him had to kick him off. He was bleeding pretty bad and nearly fainted from the sight of it. Who knows what the truth is but that's the word that trickled down to my office...I havent had a chance to leave my office yet

Just to expand upon that, the worker was working on one of the light bays, not the video ribbon. That won't be up until the JMU game.

I believe he is referencing the fact his seats on the Baptist side won't give him the best of views.

Soon enough, there will be one on the other side too.
