09/10 - 7:00 PM - Robert Morris The Flames lost up in PA on a late touchdown and will be looking to avenge that loss in front of a no doubt raucous Williams Stadium crowd. LU hasnt lost a home opener since 2002 and has scored at least 40 points in the last 9 home games...I think LU gets a solid win here LU 42 RMU 28
(minor stat nugget since these always seem to get a rise out of jbock...Liberty has not failed to score at least 30 points in a home opener since 2006 and has not allowed more than 17 points in a home opener since 2002)

That would be so awesome to get to 20,000. Truly a milestone for our program. What a long way we've come.

This is why stats canberra deceiving. Opening home games:
2004 West Virginia Tech
2005 Concord
2006 St Paul
2007 Tusculum
2008 N Greenville
2009 NC Central
2010 St Francis
2011 Robert Morris
2012 VUL. ( jk )
On the other hand I see this as a trap game. The focus was on last week with State and then the JMU game which is gonna be HUGE. My score is 24- 17.

There was way too much attached to last year in Moon Township for this to be a trap game.

They won't sneak up on us this year and we have too much to prove after last years embarrasing loss. I say Mike Brown makes up for last weeks miscues and we roll.

Yeah, don't you just love how easy it is to lie with statistics? But leave it to BJ to compare apples to oranges... but he's not the only one. ESPN does it all the time as well...

I wasnt lying jbock thats the difference...robert morris is only the third DI level team we have played in the home opener since 2002 (although I think Central was transitioning still at the time). The other one was Western Carolina (who I think was at least decent at that point) in 2002 (my first Liberty football game). My point in mentioning the stat is that when the lights are on and its the first home game of the season, you can pretty much put it down as a win for the Flames
Oh and will, you blaspheme with your prediction
