This is not a funny joke.
Please be a not-funny joke!

Not arrested like he's in trouble and has to go to the police station, just co-arrested. It's like the same thing but he doesnt get punished and stays at home for the next couple weeks.

Lang said he is going to address it in his Wednesday blog post. Stay tuned. If this is true, I hate that he is going to learn a really, really hard lesson this way. Life changer.

It'll be addressed in the blog post I'm trying to finish up now, along with some other notes from today's presser. Full story will run in tomorrow's N&A.

Couldn't happen at a better time. Can't wait to see what the results are.

Flames defensive tackle Asa Chapman, an All-America candidate, has been suspended indefinitely after his arrest on two drug charges last Friday. Chapman was arrested that night after being pulled over by Lynchburg Police in a traffic stop. He was charged with one count of misdemeanor marijuana possession and one count of felony possession of cocaine. According to court records, the charges were filed in Lynchburg General District Court on Tuesday morning. His arraignment hearing is scheduled for Sept. 12. Liberty will play twice before the hearing date—Saturday at N.C. State and Sept. 10 at home against Robert Morris.

wow cocaine and marijuana..brilliant. Even if you dont respect what the school stands for or think its wrong what a way to screw up the NFL chances and mess up your personal goals. I'm beyond dissappointed in him.

It may not be a football thing anymore. If any of this sticks he could be kicked out of school. People have been kicked out for much less.

Absolutely terrible choice by Asa. Zero chance he plays another down for the Flames--time to see what the rest of the DL is made of.

This is awful. To the other players on the team -
WHY DID YOU NOT STOP THIS?????
Certainly other players must have known about this. Shame on them for not talking to Asa and trying to atop him.
Just awful.
Good one Asa. Hope it was worth it!!!

Ugh. Hopefully the D and the rest of the team can rally around each other and find a way to make the season a success, despite the loss of one of our 3 NFL-type guys.
I guess the bright spot is that they have been practicing without him for weeks due to the injury, so everyone kind of has an idea of what their roles will be post-Asa.
Man, this stinks.

kid made a mistake. plain and simple. who are we to judge? I'm more interested in who will take his spot on the D line?

Unbelievable news! Not only prepping for NCSU, but now all the damage control that falls upon the coaches to pull this together in less than four short days and how the rest of the season goes on...surely should give opposing teams a boost.

Unfortunate. But life goes on. These things happen. They do at every university. Yes, dare I say it, including ours.
Let's go beat NC State.

I'd rather have a bunch of guys who want to be at LU and will give 110% than someone who doesn't seem to care.

THIS ^ I hope this motivates the rest of the DL and they go down there and beat up on the Wolfpack.
