A Sea Of Red

So this is my first post to Flamefans. I have been a follower of the site for a couple of years and decided to join.

My question has to do about jersey's selection this year. I know that are boys wear the all white away and blue and white at home. Also, we do breakout the Red Jersey's acouple times a year.

Side note-- I know we switched up last year on the last game vs Stoney Brook and wore Black with white Helmet. Don't understand that combination when our colors are Red, White, and Blue. That's a different story all together.

Here is the question- Does anyone know if we are switching it up this year and wearing Red jersey's and Red Pant's with either White Helmet or Blue helmet? Also does anyone think we should have a couple diffent combination of uniforms?

Anyways happy to be on the site and look forward to talking about the Flames! By the way i believe the Flames will go 10-1. Big South Champs and finally make it to the Playoffs! Go Flames!

We don't have red pants. We have white pants, blue pants, white jerseys, red jerseys, blue jerseys, black jerseys, white helmets and blue helmets. So you can see any combination of those worn.

The team captains pick what we wear before each game.

I imagine for the road we'll primarily be all white- white jerseys, white pants, white helmet.

For JMU & CCU at home we'll wear red.

The other home games we'll probably wear blue.

I don't know if we'll wear black any.

I know it doesn't fit the "norm" but I hope we do see the Black Jerseys. My new favorite look.

I believe we wore all red back in the Karcher era if memory serves me correct. It wasn't a great look ... and I absolutely LOVE the red jerseys. It reminded me of when Boog Powell played for the Indians back in the '70s when they had all red jerseys & pants. He told reporters after a game that he looked like a big clot out on there.

The reason i said something about the the look of Red Jersey and Red Pants is i know the Texans have this look. I think the combination goes great together with the blue helmet. It would be interesting to see a different look rather than blue and white. I mean our student body and all the fans wear red to the games. Why not the players wearing red jersey's and red pants. Just something to think about.

Just like the Flames, the Texans only break out the red gear once a season.

Hey, I am just impressed somebody else on this board we even know that the Texans have red uniforms. Viva Texans!

Well i stay up with all sports and teams. I will say its nice to always have that different look once a year. I mean fans are excited to be a games but once there is something different-( like different selection or color to uniforms)- the atmosphere of game day gets alittle more amped up. Especially the ball players. Maybe we will see something different this year. I hope so!

What color combo did they select for Raleigh?

I would think we will be wearing White Jersey's and White Pants. I believe N.C. State will wear Red Jersey's seeing as they are home team. The stadium should be all red. I believe are fans are told to wear red. NC State=Red Liberty=Red. Going to be a packed house of all red at Carter Finley Stadium!

Red on white is my favorite look, but the black on white is okay as long as they enlarge the logo on the helmets or go with an alternate logo altogether (like the interlocking LU).

I hope when we wear all white on the road, we wear the blue helmets and not the white ones

HAHA yeah i leave in Georgia so i thought to make the Name GAboy7. Just was off the top of my head. I could understand how you could see that.

I agree i think that it would look good all white. Only thing i would do is make the logo alot bigger and put the two large red strips like we have on the blue helmet over the top. That would be nice.

Just a thought that would be cool was if Nike did Pro Combat for 8 Nike teams in FCS like they do in FBS. That would be a really cool experiance. It would also put our school on Nikes website and everything.

Why? It would only be for one game.

Anyways it was just a thought. It would never happen though. Thought i would share what some of the schools would be wearing this year for Pro Combat.

i prefer the classic look.

Exactly my thought...I'm a big fan of tradition if you have it, but we don't so lets run with the new looks.

take these uniform reccomendations with a grain of salt.

nobody wants to see a business that me and 09 would run.

Especially if it was a software company.

The original plan was to have an interlocking LU on it but it was shot down last minute. That's why the decal was crap. From what I have heard they have gotten a larger logo for the helmet for this season.

Nice!!!!!!! I will be looking forward to the new look on the White Helmets. Is it just going to be all white or are they going to make it look like the Blue Helmet with Red Stripes? Meaning White Helmet, New huge logo, and (Blue or Red Stripes on the top)?
