I love your enthusiasm, but I'm not sure how many of us follow FCS enough to put together a poll, particularly in the preseason. May be a good idea to do it once the season starts.

Don't apologize. The more informed posters we have on here, the better.

I could throw a poll together, but it wouldn't be worth the paper it's printed on. After 2 or 3 weeks of play, I could put together a decent poll, as well could many others on here.

Exactly!! He is at least top 15, I'd probably put him around 8-9.

No....he is sort of like Ayers at Cornerback and has not proven himself yet. If he proves capable ....I will raise Sparky up to 8 or 9 in the polls and lower Jacksonville State to sit over on the bench with Kajuan Lee !!!

My only argument is you having Sac State over Southern Utah. SUU pounded Sac State and is a missed two-point conversion away from being 4-0, with a blowout win over UNLV on the resume.

And perhaps because I am closer to the situation, I have to wonder what Sam needs to do to be ahead of Lehigh & Richmond. Sam's resume thus far is better than about half of the top ten. And you could argue that playing inthe Southland they have an easier path to have a good record at end of season than that glut of CAA squads.

Yeah, I had a really hard time placing Sac State. They’ve got 2 good wins and 2 head scratching losses. I almost switched SUU & Sac State at 17 and 14.

As for SHSU, I am really impressed with what they’ve done. You could definitely make a case for them to be top 5.
