Haven't seen any comments about the new coat of red paint going on the face of the steps in the stadium, but I really like it. Add to that the improved refreshment stadns, new turf, new ops ctr, flag poles on the visitor side, new sound system and and the to-be-installed new message board (which has been out of order for what, 5 years?), and we are going to feel like we're in a brand new facility next Thursday night.
I am so jacked up.

Oh, and the new coat of blue on the front of the bleachers at the field. Did I miss anything else?

Oh, and how about the new football program? Geez.
Mind if I keep replying to myself? I need to get my member status off "spark."

Here's another change...just saw it in your pic, Medic...white goal posts. Or, is that a coat of primer for the yellow? I think I dig the white.

Thanks for the updated info. Barber & Company are really creating a first rate environment for the football experience. Combine that with better play ont he field and we are in for quite a fall.

We've already had "quite a fall." Heck--can't fall any further. But it should be an exciting autumn on the mountain.

i like the painitng of the steps...very nice touch. the ol' ball ocach did that when he started coaching at south carolina. with the black steps in williams-brice stadium, it makes for a very intimidating presence.
Game day atmosphere

It seems like Rocco has stormed onto the mountain, threw out everything that was, got everything he wanted, and is ruling with an iron fist. As a result, we have new turf, flag poles, an op center, student club, known fight song lyrics, tailgating and much more I'm sure. Does anybody know what type of things inside the stadium will change? Like any kind of music played, fog machines, laser shows, pyrotechnics, paratroopers storming in, etc. Basically I'm wondering if Libertine knows becuase I doubt anybody else does.

LUconn,
Coach Rocco deserves credit for some of the changes that are being made, but I think you are underestimating what Barber and Co. are responsible for. Most of the changes inside of the stadium have been Barber's decisions. And knowing him, he wouldn't want to take any of the credit but he deserves it. The Liberty University Athletics attitude change is coming straight from the top of Hancock. I don't want to ruin any surprises for next week but I can tell you he does have a few more tricks up his sleeve.

That's true. In fact I think JB would most likely be responsible for 90% of changes made, but at the time I wrote that I was just thinking about the players singing a song so I wrote down Rocco. Barber for president! But I think you should ruin the surprise to us exclusive flamfans members. By the way, do you work for the atheltic departement? What do you do?

I don't work for the athletic department, but I have some friends that do. And sorry, but I promised JB that I wouldn't ruin any of the surprises.
