Ok, there's a new thing happening this year. There are going to be 25 spots in P1 by University Blvd that will be reserved for tailgating. These are first come first serve for Flames Club and SFC members. You have to have four people go in together to get the spot. It's free.

I say that to say this:

I need three people who are Flames Club or SFC members to go in with me to get a spot. We're going to have the FlameFans.com Tailgate for the first game.


I'm going to be with the SFC some too, but I've been around here longer so I wanna be with you guys too.


I get out of class at 3:05 next Thursday, and I will begin tailgating at whatever time I get from P2 where I park for school and P1.



Here is what I have already:

A car
A cooler
A tv
An XBox and PS2

Things I can get:

Drinks
Some food

Things we need:
Drinks
Food
A grill
The converter I spoke of in another thread (a few of us can go in together and get this if you want)
Some type of thing to paint FlameFans.com on to hang up so they know who we are.


Anyone interested, let me know. Let's do this right.

sounds like a great idea. I'm not sure how close we'll be cutting it skating into town but would love to swing by.

If we don't get it together for this game it's cool, I just thought I'd try to set it up. A Saturday game may be better.

yeah- the Sat games may be a lot easier for you to set up, esp with everything ELSE going on for this first Thurs nite game.

I'll probably stop over on the way back from band field rehearsal...heck PA if you get a chance come down into the stadium and get to know Dr Kerr and the 2006 edition of the band. We line up for attendance at 2:25 in the stadium

Fantastic job getting this rolling, SJ. Wish I could be there myself. This would be an outstanding opportunity for FlameFans to get together and help build an even greater game environment.

Where are these spots gonna be? I'll park right next to them early if I know where they are. I'm not a member of either club.

They're going to be in P1 right on University Blvd. You won't be able to park there if you don't have a pass.

Lower P1 is open if you get there early enough, just not on that front row.

I already have a pass on the way for Homecoming. If you guys want to set up something for that game, I will be glad to secure the spot and supply some food. I am coming from N.C. and don't have a big car, so if someone could bring a grill and maybe a tent, it would be nice. The ability to tolerate old people who love LU would also be helpful. "I am a has been who never was" so you may have to listen to stories about the old days too. lol

a tent? are you sleeping in the parking lot?

He means a canopy tent for shade.

SJ...I joined the Flamesclub at the Flame level...I've already got my upper P1 parking pass - Let me know if you want me to get you the tailgaiting spot...are you still planning on tailgating for the 1st game?
