I agree. Way too small to play QB, even at the FCS level.

I agree with BigAl and TDD...if this kid is dead set on playing QB he may have to look at DII or DIII...he would have way too much trouble seeing over most DI-caliber offensive lines...

He's picked up an offer from Hampton ...
Hampton University held a one day prospect camp today on campus at HU. The Pirates’ coaching staff got a chance to look at a great selection of local talent, plus they drew high schoolers from as far away as Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina and South Carolina. A number of local players shined, but three in particular walked away with full scholarship offers.

Oscar Smith quarterback Jaylian “J.J.” Williamson was selected as the top quarterback at the camp. Williamson’s been knocked for being undersized, but his mechanics, arm strength, accuracy and footwork all make up for any shortcomings. Hampton’s coaches were impressed enough to extend an offer to J.J.

Williamson has not suffered from lack of exposure. His first game as quarterback for Oscar Smith came in their opener last year; a road game at Ohio State University against another nationally ranked team, Pickerington Central of Ohio. Williamson performed well in that game, as he did in his entire junior season. He passed for over 3300 yards and 36 touchdowns in 2010, and he’ll look to improve on that mark in 2011. He’s camped at Nike’s Elite 11 regional camp, Junior Rank camp, hit the combine circuit and has attended a number of college camps. There’s no doubt continued college interest is in his future. It’s only a matter of which schools jump on his bandwagon.

I wouldnt be surprised if we didnt...we're pretty set at QB and probably running back. if we did he'd probably be more along the lines of a BJ Hayes as a slot receiver.

We wouldn't have pursued him for QB. But most schools put their best athlete at QB and if we were chasing him I have a feeling it would be at another position.
