Mike Brown the Liberty quarterback plans to one day become Mike Brown the football coach.
Here's his scouting report of his favorite quarterback - Mike Brown, of course:
"Hard working, passionate guy about everything he does. Perfectionist. I'm never quite satisfied with anything because I'm always just trying to find a way to get better."
The way Brown believes he can get better this season is to lead Liberty to the FCS playoffs for the first time.

This made me sit up and take notice:
He will be scouted for the 2012 NFL Draft as a wide receiver.
So will he be getting more snaps as a receiver than last year? If not, how are they going to scout him as a receiver??

Correct.
You'll see Mike at WR some this year, but that's as much to get Tyler Brennan on the field more than last year and keep Mike a little fresher toward the end of the season. He was beat up pretty good by the Stony Brook game, and Rocco wants to minimize some of the wear and tear this year. Plus, Brennan is pretty good in his own rights and needs to be on the field more.

I'm the editor and a writer for a Redskins blog and spend a lot of time from December to April evaluating a lot of NFL prospects. I think Brown is going to have to have a heck of a season and offseason to crack into the draft at WR. I keep a big board of around 650 prospects and he's the 46th ranked WR. Hey may benefit thought by getting a combine invite, which is a little more likely b/c he's a QB. I think it might hurt him with Chris Summers being a Liberty too, they'll have to share a pro day and a spotlight, so Brown's receiving skills will be directly compared to Summers, who I have as a Top 20 WR and likely going 5th-7th round.
There is still a ton of time and this should be a VERY fun team to watch.

A lot depends on who comes out, he can certainly get into that range (and hopefully will), but as of right now I really think he's a 6th round guy at best. One way he could potentially benefit is in that Liberty's and VaTech's pro days are usually pretty close together time wise and obviously in terms of proximity. Two WRs he's in the same range as are Jarrett Boykin and Dyrell Roberts, so I think Summers can put on a show and prove to scouts he's better than those two. He is certainly the highest rated WR in FCS.

Summers is no way in comparison to Dyrell Roberts and especially Jarrett Boykin. I dont see how you could say they are in the same range. Boykin has been playing since a true freshman and is definitely one of the top wr in the nation hes just in a run first program. His production has been the best over the past years tech has seen and Dyrell is a beast at kick returns
