LIBERTY: With former Virginia associate head coach Danny Rocco in charge and several key transfers, some coaches picked Flames to win title.

Duvaughn Flagler, WR (6-1, 210), Jr., Gardner-Webb: All-American led conference with 13 touchdown catches.Collin Drafts, QB (6-3, 198), Sr., Charleston Southern: Led league in eight offensive categories, including TD passes (20), passing yards (2,594) and total yards (2,772).

Maurice Price, WR (6-1, 189), Jr., Charleston Southern: All-American led conference in receiving yards (1,043) and receptions (72).

Jada Ross, LB (5-11, 230), Jr., Charleston Southern: Conference defensive player of year had 128 tackles.

Aundres Perkins, RB (6-2, 245), Sr., Coastal Carolina: Led league in rushing touchdowns (12) last year.

• Last year's conference rushing leader, Charleston Southern sophomore Andre Copeland, is listed second on the team's depth chart behind senior Robert Adams.

• Liberty RB Rashad Jennings, who started several games for Pittsburgh before transferring, graduated from Liberty Christian, the high school associated with Liberty, and was recruited by Rocco when he was at Virginia.

• Despite Charleston Southern's 7-4 record, five straight victories to end the season and subsequent league title, its worst loss (42-0) was against a Division II school (Presbyterian).

• Supposing Presbyterian, which won the Division II South Atlantic Conference title last year and is moving to the Big South next season, doesn't let coach Tommy Spangler go, there will be three former SAC coaches in the league: Spangler, Coastal Carolina's David Bennett (Catawba) and Gardner-Webb's Steve Patton, who led the Bulldogs when they were in the SAC. All three won SAC titles.

I rather be thought of the Trojan horse. You know they look at us like a gift and decice to have a feast at our expense, only they end up taking us too lightly and paying the price.

we certainly have that capability of being the dark horse. i reaaly do think we are going to surprise some people this year.

This will be a special season in LU Football History. We could very much pull some upsets.
