Richmond, Va.-- 2012 quarterback prospect Kire Worley of Louisa County High (Va.) proved excellent athleticism Sunday at the National Underclassmen Combine in Richmond, Va., earning the Combine King award. At 6-foot-2, 188-pounds, Worley has a lot of upside. He has good speed and showed great technique and accuracy at helm.

Worley who grew up a Hokie fan is hearing from Virginia Tech and Liberty.

"Virginia Tech has always been a school that I wanted to go to. I like their style of play. It fits with me. I have always liked Tyrod Taylor and I compare myself to him, like how I can run the spread offense."

Last season, Worley amassed 1672 total yards and 12 touchdowns.

Jon Meeks' upcoming first season as the football coach at Louisa High School may have just gotten a bit more difficult.

Lions' junior quarterback Kire Worley is transferring to Hermitage in Richmond, his father, Tony Worley, said.

Kire was a two-year starter for the Lions. He helped guide them to an 11-1 record and the Jefferson District title last season.

His father said he has scholarship offers from Navy, Ball State, Coastal Carolina and Liberty. Rivals .com reports he has an offer from Norfolk State.
