Watching the film I do have concern about what Ive seen...he seems to be getting beat off the snap pretty readily (and as a tackle you HAVE to get off the ball well or the blocking scheme as a whole breaks down). He needs to be able to make good first contact with defenders, then maintain contact (without getting called for holding) through the initial wave then if the play gets upfield work to the second level. If he can get better at first contact and improve his footwork he can be a solid OT at the collegiate level.

Can't accuse you of holding back BJ. Oh BTW, did you happen to notice who posted the video?

Yup, because Coach BJ knows it all and can make every player better.

I didn't watch the video, but I watched you as an OC draw up a defense with 9 players on the field....and then a play on offense that would have gotten stopped by it. It was quite impressive. Watch it, Jon!

I didn't watch it. I have no desire to watch it. I'm also not a coach. I'm a guy on a message board. Just like you are. You are not a coach either. Why would this kid listen to anything you said about his form or technique?

Im not a coach either...but if a fan notices it who ISNT a coach Im sure that someone who IS a coach (this is where someone like madmat would be great to have weigh in here) probably notices it as well.

offensive line is one of the most difficult positions to evaluate anyway. Unless the guy just has the raw intangibles (size and mobility) that others don't have then guys like us really have no way of evaluating a OL.
