Virginia Tech played host to a number of prospects this past weekend. Amongst those was new offeree Desmond Frye out of Chester (Va.) Thomas Dale. It was Frye's first visit to campus to see Blacksburg in person.
Click on Rivals profile ... even after scoring an offer from the Hokies he stills lists us among the schools he is interested in.

Looking at his video he would be a good thuird or fourth option, but my biggest concern is with his route running. he tends to round his patterns off from what I can tell in the video. if he can learn to be a little crisper in his cuts that will really serve him well at the next level

We probably are a backup option if VT doesn't offer him a scholarship. Even if he is raw though, and alot of high schools players are thats nothing good coaching can't correct.

I agree with most of the what your saying, and London is going to turn UVA around. At the same time VT just was in the Orange Bowl, and is considered a big time program. Most kids love the allure of the big time. I'm not surprised by anything, but if VT puts the press on Frye I expect him to go there.
