With the National Football Signing day on the horizon, I thought that I would stir up the hornets nest. Signing day and which prospects will Rocco sign and see if there are any new surprises. Discuss!

It seems like we know less about this class than any class in Rocco history. How we can get some big boys for both lines. That seems to be the hardest position to fill with quality.

We have 3 known O-line commits and a DE as well. My understanding is that this will be a very small class.

I have heard Rocco say a couple of times that this will be his smallest class since coming here.

We had all of our commitments besides like 1 or 2 before September.

I see the small class as a good thing. That means we are not losing players to attrition, transferring out, or for other reasons. Plus we are getting some guys back like Aldreakis, Sellman, and maybe others, + 3 transfers in Tomlin, Aiken, and Latif and 7 verbal committs. From last year's team I count 11 schollies graduating. Maybe we are saving room for a few late transfers, JUCO's.

My understanding is that we will sign perhaps 3-4 HS kids beyond the widely known verbals.

So are you saying that we should sign 27 kids, 12-15 of which will never play a meaningful down? Id rather bring in a class of 13 and have all of them be major contributors than bring in a class of 25 and have half of them never be more than practice players...

I'm hoping that they have a litle scholly money left over for some of the walk ons that have proven themselves to be valuable additions to the team.

I will take quality over quantity any day. I have no reason to be pessimistic about football this time of year except for things we can't control (Like our conference). The results on the field are all that really matters.

I am not sure we need that much of an overhaul on defense. Our pass defense has been the issue the last 3 years and that should improve from what we have had just by looking at what we currently have on the roster + Aiken.

The offensive line has been an issue the last 3 years and yes I am a little worried about that one. There are some question marks about the personel we have there now.

Look Roccgroh...it seems pretty apparent to me that Coach Rocco kicked your dog or something because all youve done since you got here is bash him and talk about how he isnt the man for the job...if you are this all knowing wiseacre then maybe Dr Falwell should have called you and asked for your permission before hiring him back in 2005-2006.

Is Coach Rocco perfect...no...if any coach is Id love to meet him. Coach Rocco has taken a team that was 1-10 in 2005 and won four straight Big South titles (two outright) and made us a consistent part of the top 25. Not every decision he has made has worked out (course that's part of life) but I think he is the man for Liberty and if you dont like him then you can either get the hell out of the way or you can offer up some constructive suggestions (with much better command of the English language) or heck, maybe you should just get the headphones and do his job since obviously you can do it better than he can...
