Mooresville High School defensive lineman Charles Wilkes is Mooresville Weekly’s 2010 Defensive Player of the Year.
Sometimes, it’s the grunt work that makes all the difference. On a football field, it’s in the trenches, where clutching and jockeying for position occurs on every play, that a game’s outcome is often determined.
Mooresville High defensive tackle Charles Wilkes knows this all too well. And the Mooresville Weekly 2010 Defensive Player of the Year has embraced the often-overlooked aspects of his job and pushed onward, trying to disrupt offenses to help his team win.
