A Sea Of Red

The FCS Senior Bowl is on today at 2p on Lynchburgs, DirecTV 617 (Fox College Sports). Three or four of our seniors are participating. They're not on the roster list, I'm not sure why but maybe it's because they just enrolled this past week. Try to watch it if you get a chance. Here's their website:

Possibly but to tell you the truth, I don't know for sure. Things change so much from day to day.

If I'm not mistaken, I think Eric Green played in that back in the day.

Samantha Steele is covering the game for FCS and tweeted last night about chatting with the guys.

Eric played in a "big boy" all star game. I can't remember if it was the Hula Bowl or the Senior Bowl.

Eric was invited to play in both, but only played in the Hula Bowl (if I remember correctly).

This FCS Senior Bowl is new this year. The rosters also include some players from lower level divisions.

Why would they play this now? Some of the best seniors in the country are still playing and can't play in this.

There are a zillion all-star games the next few weeks & scouts need to be able to bounce between them. More established games tend to have better slots.

Best Seniors are still playing and making themselves known, why not let all the others get a chance too?

Someone in a LU helmet is playing Left Tackle for the South. I would think Vargas? McDowell from CCU is at QB.

Darn, I don't think I get that channel on DishNetwork, so I'm watching the FCS playoffs.

There are 3 offensive lineman with Flames helmets in the game right now. #63, #71, and #72

At least one other OL (besides Vargas) wearing #72. I think it's Stadler, and someone wearing #80.

I think #80 is Wrede.

Interesting that Wrede would get in a game like this. He was our number 3 tight end (and we never threw the ball to any of them).

Whoever it was wearing 80 with a Liberty helmet wasn't snapping the ball when I saw him, but I only watched a little over a quarter. Maybe they put him on the team because they needed a long snapper and then let him play some tight end too?
