One game over .500 and the beach chickens are dancing in the streets. Why? They are high on KM--Kalander mathematics.

They are 6-5 and they are essentially in the playoffs because a CSU team which had nothing to gain only scored 3 points against them in the last game of the season. Not much to build dreams of a dynasty on.

I was having a tough time deciding if I was going to root for Coastal. Not a snowball's chance in hell now. I hope they get wiped across the field. I will, however, cheer a little for RMU. For some reason I really like their coach and the way they fight.

And how it plays into the fact that we can't use the upper two floors of DeMoss

i'm not trying to pile on here, but this seemed like an appropriate thread to paste something i found while surfing the AGS site. i hadn't been on there much at all this season...this one just made me laugh though. it's from an early season thread about playoff prognostications and what "ToTheLeft" had to say about them picking coastal....

You guys are DELUSIONAL if you think CCU is a threat for the Big South title. It's Stony Brook or LU, that's it.
Have you checked CCU's record? They're terrible. They lost a close one to TOWSON, while SBU and LU lost close ones to TOP CAA teams. They haven't beat anyone but a VERY BAD Del St. team.
They just don't compare. SBU and LU have the league in the palm of their hands.

It wasn't far from the with the three schools beating each other. Delusional might have been a tad over the top for TTL. But he is known to resort to hyperbole from time to time.

also consider the poster, I like TTL's fire, but he tends to go extreme one way or another...but valid point

oh, i didn't have a problem with his comments really. at that point in the season, i'd say he was fairly accurate. although i thought coastal was gonna be pretty good from the first day of spring practice. for some reason it didn't translate on the field until the second half of the season.
it's just funny the way some things come back and bite ya. kinda like a majority of the fans for coastal were in meltdown mode after those first 4 or 5 weeks.

I was wrong on CCU. I saw a team that lost to Towson and played on-again off-again against a middle of the road Richmond team, and that didn't compete with WVU.
I ate my crow, because I was wrong. I wear a Chicken-a-cleer avatar on CS.com because of it.

Half of me wants Coastal to do well, just to show that we lost to a good team and so that the Big South is represented well. The other half of me wants the Beach Chickens to be humiliated.

They're working on the latter of those two right now.

Looks like Coastal is falling off the beach right now... haha they are losing 10 to 0 to Western Illinois.
Also, South Carolina State is losing 19 to 0 in the 2nd quarter. But yes, we all know South Carolina State is better than us (sarcasm).
