Remember we had a game last year I think where we came out in our blues for warmups and then switched before we came out for the game

maybe they didn't want to get in trouble from whoever is in charge of branding enforcement.

First we get the angry Sparky and now black uniforms. Talk about "worldly" - is this to make us look meaner? Look at Penn State, Alabama, Michigan, etc. Keep the uniforms the colors they are and build the tradition on the field and in the play of the team versus the appearance of the team. I'm just saying.

Yeah I don't see what's the big deal with the black jerseys. I think I like the idea.

Especially since there's a common thread between all the schools mentioned. They've been around since the dawn of time. If we want to stand out, it's not going to be through tradition.

Well, there's 2 teams with colored fields:
Boise State - obviously hasn't hurt them
and Eastern Washington - #3 in FCS

Can't hurt.

Let's just hope they are not bad luck like that one game a few years ago when Notre Dame wore those green jerseys and fumbled the ball everywhere. I think I heard a comment later about those jerseys were real slick and it was hard to keep the ball tight. I don't really buy that but thought it was funny. I do recall them fumbling a lot.

We did that for JMU. But that's still not as dramatic as black uni's with white helmets.

I was referring to that more for the fact that there wasnt a press release about it. Not to mention, just BECAUSE there isnt a press release for every jot and tittle out of the athletic department doesnt mean that we need to be wringing our hands over it.
