question about Mike Brown

This morning on WSET DC mentioned that Mike Brown sprained some ligaments in his foot last weekend, has been in a walking boot all week, has not practiced, and is day-to-day. I have been checking here throughout the day to see if anyone had anything to say, but no one has mentioned it (that I can find...) Does anyone have any other information?

Lang had mentioned it in his Tuesday write-up. The boot is precautionary. Lang also said he will have updates as the week goes on.

Lang would be the best person to answer that Id think...but Id give him a chance to at least check on it (good heavens...instant gratification culture we live in...)

I read he sprained the middle of his foot and the boot is just a precautionary, it keeps the weight off the middle of his foot. He's thrown a little but obviously no running around. From what I understand if he's not practicing by Thursday he may or may not start. That's what I read at least...I think he'll start either way.

Ummmm, I wasn't trying to be impatient. I just hadn't heard anything. Thanks, though, BJ.

He'll start. The only thing in question is how effective he will be.

BJ's world has shifted from his positive idealism to some sort of negative idealism that is very hard to understand, even moreso than usual.

Yes, this information was first posted on my blog yesterday and in the newspaper today.
Heading over now for some women's hoops interviews for a season preview, but I planned on stopping by football practice afterward to check on Mike's practice status. I'll update on Twitter later on.

this is the one problem with having that running qb, he gets nicked up a lot from all the hits. I personally think he has probably been beat up a lot more than he has let on this year. I think he hasn't had that explosivness to quite break the containment this year on some plays that when he's fully healthy he would. It's been more noticeable in some games than others I think. The play he hurt it on looked like it kinda went down awkwardly near the sticks on the sideline on the 20 in the 2nd qtr. When watching on TV he was limping badly coming away from that play. i hope he's healthy because the stretch run is here.
With the injuries that he's admitted to (only because he didn't practice so it came out) he's still had a great statiscal season other than a few too many picks.

So what you're saying is we should never give you a chance to check on it because you already know everything.
Got it.

Pretty much. For instance, I know you had Froot Loops for breakfast this morning.

You guys are crazy! Here I am worried sick about Mike and the game, and y'all are talking about breakfast. I didn't have any (Chris probably knew that already, but the rest of you might not have

), but I had sushi for lunch....just for the record.

I'm concerned about the game too! Our running game better be more than "dive Mike". I know that he can break tackles and make something out of nothing but if the O line does not open holes for him he could get real banged up. Plus if we are successful in running that opens up the passing game.

When you have no $$$ as an intern and you pull an all-nighter at work, well the options are limited.
