Heard from a source that he tore his ACL. Can anyone confirm?

LOL.

We've heard from a source (Ervin himself) that it's ACL and MCL and he's done, surgery in town soon.

The "I heard from a source", when Ervin put it on Twitter, told people on facebook, and Chris Lang reported it.

Of course the injury isn't funny.

Sorry man. I don't follow him on twitter. I had just heard that from someone. I just wanted to make sure. Who looks to get the most playing time out of this?

Gabe Henderson and Kyle DeArmon should get most of those snaps. Possibly Greg Pratt as well. Pat Kelly was already playing a lot, but I expect us to throw to him more with Ervin out.

I'm not upset or think you're stupid. It's just kinda... ironic? Not really, but I can't think of a better word. We were just discussing it somewhere else in this forum, and had confirmed that he was out.

Nothin' personal.

Wow.

That's awesome. Still wish the best for a speedy recovery, but that's good news.

Thats awesome! Does that mean he could play soon?

he'd be out tomorrow...maybe play if we make the playoffs but unless he recovers overnight from getting scoped he will be out. Arthroscopic surgery isnt something where you can get it done and be right back doing what you normally did the next day (speaking from experience)

2-4 weeks is the usual recovery time for an athlete.

So if we get to the championship game then he might play. Great news on the injury.

To truly appreciate Ervin Garner's performance at Liberty's annual spring football game Monday evening at Williams Stadium, won 10-9 by the White team, you have to go back to a October day in Lexington, when Garner badly injured his left knee in a game against VMI.
